Forming Films (Thermoform Films)

Forming films are high‑performance thermoformable packaging materials engineered to create molded cavities that securely hold and protect products during the packaging process. As the bottom web in a thermoform‑fill‑seal system, forming films are heated and stretched into shape, delivering a custom‑fit pocket that conforms tightly to the product’s contours. Their multi‑layer polymer construction—commonly incorporating PA, PE, PP, and EVOH—provides exceptional flexibility, durability, and puncture resistance while maintaining strong barrier properties for extended shelf life.

These films are ideal for packaging meats, cheeses, seafood, ready‑to‑eat meals, and other delicate or irregularly shaped items that require structural support. By forming a stable cavity, they prevent product movement, reduce damage, and enhance presentation. Forming films are essential for vacuum and MAP applications (Modified Atmosphere Packaging), ensuring product safety, hygiene, and long‑lasting freshness. When paired with a compatible non‑forming top web, they create a fully sealed, airtight package with excellent clarity and shelf appeal.

Thermoforming Barrier Film (High-Barrier)

High-barrier thermoforming films are ideal for food products that require an extended shelf life and protection from spoilage and degradation. These films provide significantly enhanced protection against oxygen, moisture vapor, and aroma transfer. They feature a core layer made of EVOH, which serves as an excellent oxygen barrier.
